■ Kudzu-fu 8-Sun Obi fabric, Natural and Indigo-dyed colors
Made in: Nigata prefecture
Material: Handspun Kudzu 100%

Carefully handspun Kudzu threads are used 100%, woven for all the weft and warp. The rough and stiff fabric is suitable for a 8-sun Summer Obi tightened with a summer ramie Kimono. The subtle lusters from the fibers, a product of 100% natural privilege and traditional artisanal work, looks purely elegant on a summer Kimono during hot summer.

Made in: Nigata prefecture
Material: Handspun Ramie 100%

Ramie stalk fibers are split into a very thin fibers, which is handspun (jointed) by fingers into the thread. Extremely time-consuming traditional craftmanship produces a unequaled ramie cloth.

 

■ Shi-fu 8-Sun Obi fabric, Pine leaves ash dyed stripes
Made in: Nigata prefecture
Material: Handspun Kudzu 100%

The threads are all made by the Washi papers. The sliced papers are hand-twisted and spun into the threads, which are then dyed by the lye of pine leaves, handwoven into the striped fabric.
