The weaver, Honda Toshio is also recognized as the traditional craftsman of the Japanese highest quality ramie, Echio Jofu. His factory may be regarded as one of the most skilled textile weaver in Nigata area. Their skills and aesthetics are generously poured into these Kasuri Shiozawa silks.

The quality of raw silk weaving and Kasuri ikat making, furthermore, all are harmonized into the design, creates one of the most beautiful summer Kimonos. The way of seeing through with elaborate Kasuri pattern are intensely beautiful.

Natsu Akagi silk uses ‘Akagi’ silk threads, which is traditionally homespun by the farmers at the mountain area of Akagi, Gunma prefecture.
